Only 23 minutes from Devonport, the historic Railton Hotel (circa 1910) is the ideal stopover when disembarking from the Spirit of Tasmania.

Railton Hotel has six standard accommodation rooms with shared bathroom facilities and one room with ensuite.

Unpowered parking and camping sites in separate areas for Self-Contained RVs and Vans, and tent camping, are available at the rear of the pub for patrons at a small cost.

Modern unisex bathroom and toilet facilities are also available for campers, code given for entry - shower use at an additional small cost.

No waste water or any other liquid is to be discharged onto the ground, to assist in compliance of this the hotel has provided outside dishwashing facilities.

Pets at discretion of  the publican - so please contact to ask in advance.

Dump Point is available 100 metres across the road
in the Railway Park RV & Van parking area: 5 Esplanade.

The RV Park is a Council run, no-cost gravel parking area strictly for fully self-contained RVs & Vans only, with a 96 hour time limit.

There are no facilities at the park except a shelter with fixed picnic table, rubbish bins, potable water tap and a dump point onsite. 
The park backs onto an active rail line, which has trains occasionally running on it.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.

There is a walkway through to Railway Park that has picnic tables, shade trees and outside equipment.
The Railton Hotel is a short 100 metres, across the road. 

There are public toilets, open specified daylight hours.  

Railton

Railton is situated between Latrobe and Sheffield, on the scenic route to Cradle Mountain.

Railton’s Topiary is a part of Tasmania’s Outdoor Art Gallery and in this unique town with a history steeped in industrial and farming heritage you will find over 150 living sculptures.

It’s a really beautiful township which shows great community pride.
You may even spy a platypus close by.
