Pontville, Tasmania
Pontville is a small town of around 700 residents, situated 27 kilometres north of Hobart on the Midlands Hwy.
It is one of Tasmania's original towns, being built as a 'Garrison Town' in 1821.
Within the surrounding region there are a number of attractions, including accessibility to the Shene Distillery, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, the historic township of Richmond, the Coal River Valley vineyards and New Norfolk in the Derwent Valley.

Built in 1835, The Crown Inn is one of the oldest hotels in Australia, and is the focal point of the historic village of Pontville.
The pub has a bar, billiard area, bistro, bottle shop and is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Short term stay parking is available for up to 48 hours, for a maximum of seven fully self contained RVs and Vans, for a small fee per night..
The fee can be paid at the Brighton Post Office, Brighton IGA (about 1.5 kms up the road from the RV Van park)
or at Council’s Offices at 1 Tivoli Road, Old Beach.
Fires are not permitted on site.
The park is dog friendly (on leash), a dump point (may not be available on weekends or public holidays), potable water, covered seating and bins are all available within the adjoining recreation complex.
A public toilet is open varying hours at the Memorial Hall at the entrance to the recreation complex.
