The Pinnacle Hotel, Pinnacle, QLD

Famous for its pies, the Pinnacle Hotel is well worth a stopover for the travellers.

Located in the lovely Pioneer Valley via Mackay. they offer caravan and camping too.  It is a low cost to camp, is powered, and there are hot showers and toilets which have recently been installed for travelers. Please phone ahead to avoid disappointment

There have been a lot of improvements made to this hotel. They have regular entertainment and a kid's playground.

There is a huge camping area at the rear of the hotel, fire pits for the cooler evenings and it's flat, grassy and very attractive.

The pies are huge; a meal in themselves, and hundreds of them are made on the premises every week.

The Hatton -Finch Gorge is just up the road in the Eungella National Park. Leave your van safely here and explore.

Fantastic hiking trails are in the gorge, with a deep, very cold pool at the end to soothe the aching feet. Don't forget the camera
