Kinta, Rick and their young family run this hotel / motel in the neat and tidy town situated on the (A3) Australia's Country Way (Burnett Highway) just two hours west of Bundaberg
The hotel was first licenced in 1933, but it's storied past stretches back much further, likely to having a past life as a shanty inn
It was reduced to ashes in a blaze on New Year's Eve in 1961, but was soon rebuilt and has evolved from a humble tin shed to the venue that patrons have come to know and love.
The establishment played an important role in the town's reconciliation movement, tearing down the wall that traditionally separated the different bars for blacks and whites so people from all walks of life could share a beer together.
