Nice old fashioned pub with pleasant, friendly service
Open 7 days for lunch and dinner.
Good range of pub favourites and specials.

Camping is at the showgrounds,  about  400m away along a sealed footpath with not-very-bright, but adequate, street lighting.

Plenty of room for the biggest rigs.
Cost to camp

Time limit of 2 weeks.
Tent-based camping is permitted. 

Dump point onsite

Wonderful bakery adjacent the pub and a good cafe next to that with extended hours.

Laundrette next to that.

Markets every  Sunday.

Bowls, tennis,  golf, or canoe/kayak (several launch places)

There are said to be platypus in the creek for those with patience to wait to see them

In Mary Valley country behind the Sunshine Coast, Imbil is a 48-kilometre drive south-west from Gympie.

A steep haul to the Imbil Lookout presents incomparable, near 360-degree views to Kenilworth, the mountains, and the Sunshine Coast.

A 26 kilometre round-trip through forest and cultivated creek flats takes in Lake Borumba, which is perfectly tailored to swimming, boating, water-skiing and fishing.

A nearby hatchery, which was opened in the early 1980s, breeds golden perch and silver perch, which are released into the local waterways as fingerlings.
