Gemtree Outback Wilderness Retreat
Billabong Bar, Gemtree Caravan Park, Gemtree. Located on the Plenty Hwy about 60kms off the Stuart Hwy north of Alice Springs.
The perfect outback experience. This bar comes alive 4 nights a week (Numbers permitting).
It is a licenced area in the caravan park so no BYO alcohol is permitted.
Kates Camp Oven Kitchen was the winner of the Central Australian Tourism Award for New Tourism in 2010.
Camp oven meals are held on Wednesday and Saturday nights.

Friday night they have Paddymelon bowls and baked potatoes and Sunday night Fish & Chips and camp oven karaoke.

Takeaway food, breakfast and dinners also delivered to your van if you wish.
The camp offers many activities including fossicking for gems and guided tours. There is a very interesting museum on the history of the area. Gemtree is a great outback experience
