COLBINABBIN: The Colbo Hotel

Quaint little 100 plus-year-old hotel in the main street of Colbinabbin (or Colbo as it is more widely known).

Situated between Elmore and Rushworth on the Bendigo-Murchison Rd, 56km from Bendigo.

Surrounded by grain and sheep farming and more recently grape growing areas.

Population around 300 including outlying areas.

The Colbinabbin Country Hotel has meals 7 nights a week from 5.30pm.

Open for lunch Sundays (this is on trial at the moment) and will do lunch during the week by prior arrangement for a group.

We have Pub Choir on a Monday night at 6.30 which is a hoot!

Happy Hour is Wednesday 5.30 with $4 drinks, free nibbles and a raffle to win your dinner.

The friendly local barflies will be happy to answer all your Colbinabbin questions, although some of the answers could be quite colorful.

Fishing opportunities and bushwalking are on offer as well as visits to neighbouring towns such as Heathcote, Rushworth, Elmore and Rochester.

Many wineries close by along the Mt Camel Range, producing excellent Heathcote Region wines.

The atmosphere at the Colbo Pub is very relaxed and chilled out.

Camping sites are on the hotel property. Two caravan sites at back of pub on their property, power and water connected. This has a cost included and it is suggested campers call ahead to ask current pricing; this is considered to be a higher-cost campsite

Amenities during business hours and a public toilet approx a block away at the playground There are also 3 motel units alongside the hotel
