Murgon is 249 km north-west of Brisbane via the Burnett and D'Aguilar Highways and Pacific Motorway.

Once the site of a caravan park, there is a free 48-hour stopover located in the heart of the town just a short stroll from pubs and clubs.
Water is connected to all sites but there is no longer power available.

Great bakery and butcher in the town and good base to visit Bjelke-Petersen Dam, local wineries and  Dairy Heritage Museum or enjoy a game of bowls at the friendly local bowls club.
