Cooyar Hotel is situated 2 1/2 hours from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

This small country hotel is full of atmosphere and friendly staff.

It is a real community hub in the truest sense of the word with an active Social Club.

For a visitor the small bar area makes it easy to converse with the locals who are happy to have a yarn.
Once a month they have a Pig on the Spit and Live Music, as well as other events throughout the year including on Australia Day.

There is a donation campground behind the hotel (Swinging Bridge Park ) and in walking distance to the hotel.

Just follow the road at the left of the Pub in this photo
If you need power there is a low cost.
Pay your power fee or donation at the pub.

Toilets at the pub or nearby Memorial Park.

A tourist attraction is the Swinging Bridge which crosses the Cooyar Creek.

The other attraction is Garry McCoy's Motorcycle Museum and Café.

Motorcycle racing champion, Garry McCoy, lives locally and owns GMC
(Garry McCoy Coaching).

Note: We have found that we are unable to get Telstra mobile phone service in Cooyar.

Publicans, Karen and her partner, and this little village appreciate your support.

The hotel has a wonderful outback area where there is a pig on the spit monthly with live music and a Rodeo annually in September.

The outback area has a bar,  BBQ, stage for live music, seating for over 100 people - even fire drums to keep you warm in the colder months.

The hotel has accommodation, 9 rooms which consist of double, single, and twin rooms all clean and tidy.

Meals are available every day with great pub meals.

So why not call in and check the hotel out?

Guaranteed - you will love this small country hotel.
