A beautiful old pub - well over 100yrs old - where the new owner is undertaking restoration works
Established by Richard Best in 1879, the" Warra Hotel" has seen many changes over the years.
2013 saw new owners James & Tania Phelan arrive & plan to restore the old Queenslander style hotel, bringing back the "Queensland Country Pub".
They even claim to have a resident ghost upstairs.
The hotel is a classic Queenslander on the Darling Downs on the Warrego Highway that leads to Charleville, Birdsville and beyond.
It is approx 250 kilometres north west of Brisbane.
There is a donation camping spot near the pub, and toilets are available in the close by historic railway station.
