Newly reopened after extensive renovations - November 2020
As you travel through Murrurundi on the New England Highway, you will see the Royal Hotel near the town's outskirts
(Heading north toward Tamworth, on the right)
You will note its large, spacious back yard.
The publican has offered this great area up to hotel patrons for camping.
There is a new amenities block with showers, and toilets with disabled access.
They have renovated the old Cobb and Co stables out the back which looks awesome, as does the old coach
Meal specials daily, Lunch from $10,
Happy Hour daily 5-7pm
Dump Point up the road at the Recreation Ground
Get along to the Royal soon.

The renovations on this old pub are astonishing. the bar has a casual feel, while the side rooms and entry are elegant, with fireplaces and chandeliers.
Murrurundi has a rich heritage, as does this lovely pub. It is definitely worth spending a few days here.
Camping is attached, with 24h shower & toilet. If you find the campsite full, there’s an overflow across the road.
I have enjoyed several meals here, and chatted to the friendly locals.
