Strathmerton Railway Hotel publican Dwayne and his offsider Rex the Kelpie are both very friendly. Neither of them bite and both love a scratch behind the ear.
The kitchen offers great meals.
The camping out the back of the pub has shade, lots of room, and is peaceful and quiet.
Toilet facilities are available in pub.
Importantly to many travellers, there is a bakery next door to the hotel.
