Middleton Hotel, Kennedy Developmental Rd Middleton 4735

Middleton Hotel is 190km from Boulia and 170km from Winton.

There is nothing else there, just the pub and a large camping area across the road, with a sign laughingly proclaiming it to be the Hilton Hotel.

There are rubbish bins but nothing else.
No charge for camping.

Please support this little out-of-the-way pub
They count on tourism traffic for survival

If you are a patron of the pub you can use their toilets and showers.
Rooms available too

Built in 1876, the Middleton Hotel is one of the most isolated pubs in Queensland.

It was the first of eight pubs built between Boulia and Winton and the only one still standing.

It doesn't look like it has changed much - retaining it's charm.

The pub serves good home cooked meals.

Not a flash pub but well worth the visit.

Just maybe... you will see the Min Min lights.

(This listing has an image of Lester, owner and publican, who was often shoeless in the pub. Lester passed away in early 2024)
