A clean, friendly, safe, and quiet pub, all the things you want to see in a pub camp.
On Fitzroy Development Rd which runs between Dingo on Capricorn Hwy and Peak Downs Hwy.
Good bitumen road used by plenty of mining vehicles - no issues. Use Channel 40 if possible.

The owner is keen to welcome travellers, as long as they support the hotel.
Middlemount is suffering from the mining downturn and appreciates your support, including the pub.
The Middlemount Pub is very much a miners hotel and town but everyone was friendly and it was interesting to look around the area, but you can’t see any mines to my knowledge.
Huge car park to set up self-contained vehicles but on Wednesday night it was pretty full of local’s vehicles, so park out of the way. Very quiet overnight.
Toilets available during pub hours otherwise none we know of. Pets ok in car park and front seating areas.
Meals were average prices and miner sized!!
Shopping centre with most amenities across the road, drive-through bottle shop and a nice green park next door.
