Zeehan is a small town of around 700 residents in the West Coast ranges
- 17 kms from the coast
Situated 44 kilometres north of Strahan, 35 kms north of Queenstown and 25 kilometres south of Rosebery.

It was built on the back of silver being discovered in the 1880s.

"The  President of the golf club welcomed us and mentioned the facilities and how to pay (cash to be placed in envelope/slot at the green fees box at the rear of the clubhouse).
We have visited Zeehan before but only passing through, big rains were forecast so we decided this would be a good spot to hunker-down as we knew it was gravel and hoped that it wouldn't get boggy.

We ended up staying 3 nights and in between the rain (which was very heavy at night) we wandered around town, walked to the Spray Tunnel (4km round trip), saw some glow worms, took a drive to Trial Harbour (we stayed here in 2019) and visited
the West Coast Pioneer and Heritage Centre.

Zeehan is definitely worth the stopover and even though 3 days is probably more than you need we had a nice time, Alf made us feel very welcome and it was nice to support the golf club that is doing its bit to accommodate RV's and in the process helping the club and the town to survive."

The Zeehan Golf Club RV Van Park
Council owned and sanctioned for fully self-contained RVs and Vans only.

Parking is on an all weather fully gravelled area situated just prior to the clubhouse - pets are welcome.
Please Note:
It is recommended you do not drive past the club house - it becomes narrow and there is no safe area to turn around.

Camping is permitted 7 days per week, however the club's open times vary.
When the clubhouse is open, you are welcome to use the available amenities and of course, patronise the bar.
The club provides rubbish bins and is pet friendly.
There is a small cost per site per night for campsites
- please pay into the 'Green Fees Box' at the entry to the clubhouse.

Potable water is available near the BP Truck Stop in the main street,
and a public dump point is situated at 24-38 Packer Street, Zeehan.

Target Golf is available to play for a donation (golf clubs and balls supplied), if you have your own clubs and would like a round of golf  - the green fee is a small cost  and payable into the 'Green Fees Box'.

The club is a one kilometre drive/walk from Main Street, where you will find Hotels, RSL Club, Cafes, IGA Supermarket, Chemist, Medical Centre, Hardware (Elgas Outlet), Op-Shop and Servos, etc.

"Hotel Cecil provides good meals and even has a little takeaway with yummy burgers.
Even though town is a little sad the old buildings are beautiful and a lot of love has gone into restoring a number of them."
