No amenities after the hotel closes, must have own RV toilet

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:

Before the days of the telephone, the electric telegraph and Morse code, the Mount Direction Semaphore Station provided an integral communication link between Launceston and George Town.​

Visitors to the Mount Direction Historic Site can glimpse the remaining infrastructure once part of an important communication system used in British military colonies during the mid-nineteenth century.

A 3.9km hike through the Mount Direction Historic Site may entice you.
The trail begins from the Mount Direction Signal Station - from here it's a short but  steep walk up to the summit of Mount Direction.
