BROADWATER AREA
The town is dominated by its huge and historic sugar mill.
You can smell the aroma of sugar in the air as you near the town

A beautiful, restored Catholic Church is on the edge of town, and is now identifying as OUR DAILY BREAD cafe.
There are interesting antiques here to view and purchase, along with tasty meals and coffee

The townscape is memorable for its particularly lovely timber homes and public buildings.

Prior to European settlement the Richmond River had been inhabited for thousands of years by the Bundjalung First Nation peoples.

Just been there sign out front saying no camping, council has put a stop to it, probably someone in the council owns the local caravan park, if we go on the caravan park we can’t go to the pub in our motorhome can’t drink and drive.
