Don’t go past this one!
Absolutely beautiful place to stay and the locals are very welcoming. My second stay here and will definitely stay again. The previous review has said it all. Enjoy the peace and enjoy.
North of Townsville
My second time here and it’s fantastic as I’m the only one camped here.
With all the rain it’s been too wet for camping but it’s slowly drying out and I found a dry spot.
Camping is $5pp pn so cheap with toilets and showers. Nothing flash but very clean.
There are a couple of powdered site’s but you’d have to be lucky to get them as you cannot book.
They have over 30 camping sites.
Very pet friendly.
There is a DP down at the beach camp.
There is a pool, 18 hole golf course, tennis court and bowls green where they have barefoot bowls every Thursday night.
The meals at the restaurant are great and reasonably cheap. I had my usual S&P calamari with chips and salad.
Meal was just the right size for me and so delicious. Pet friendly eating area too.
You can walk the tracks around the course with your dogs and see lots of roos morning and afternoon. It’s also only a 10 minute walk to the beach.
Highly recommended this place.
Only 4.5k off the highway so please take the short detour and visit.
