Archer River Roadhouse is located 200km south of Weipa on the banks of the Archer River and is the last stop before the turn off towards the tip of Cape York.

The Peninsula Developmental Road is closed for up to four months per year due to the summer wet season. Flooding over low-level river crossings makes the roads impassable, and they may receive flood damage. More info.
