The complex and grounds come to life when the Callide Dawson Machinery Preservation Club Inc. plays host to the Annual Old Wheels in Motion Rally & Swap Meet on the third weekend of July each year.

This event sees exhibitors (from cross Australia coming together to host a working weekend which showcases the uniqueness of the many vintage machines on display.
