A tiny town with a population of around 40 people in the middle of the Flinders Ranges, due south of Cradock & Hawker.

Newly renovated bar, dining room and bedrooms.

Proudly established & owned by the Carrieton Progress Association.

This was established in 2000 with funds from the Carrieton Rodeo Club and The Cropping Project committee.

Formerly the Carrieton rural school, which closed in 1997, it has been converted into a community-owned business.

It offers private accommodation, powered sites and camping in a rural school setting.
The park has lots of facilities for travellers to enjoy as well as offering disabled access and a pet friendly environment.
All facilities are modern and well kept and there is a disabled access bathroom available in camp grounds and cottage Indoor and outdoor kitchens available.

Campfires permitted - wood available.
A well-kept ablution block with a separate disabled toilet and shower
Coin operated laundry, dryer and book swap library
Accommodation rooms available.
Dump point

All guests at the caravan park can enjoy the Art Room which has been converted into a community shed.
It features a cosy wood heater, basic kitchen facilities, lounge and TV area along with local information.
During the winter months this can also be a place for visitors to roll out their swag for a small cost per person per night.

Yanyarrie Whim
The remains of 'Yanyarrie Whim' is a large stone tank with a local slate trough built many years ago for watering stock.  Yanyarrie Whim later become a significant watering hole for drovers using the north-south route passing through the Carrieton district.

The Horseshoe
The Horseshoe Range features the unusual Moockra Tower rock. The walking track offers spectacular lookouts and the views of the beautiful gum creek country go for miles.

Oladdie Homestead
